Hello world!

Greetings, everyone! Welcome to my cozy corner of the web! I’m a grad student, working on my PhD in Irish women’s history. I focus on the intersection of nationalism and socialism in the twentieth century, and women’s participation in each of those movements. If you’d like to know more, feel free to ask. Because school takes up a good deal of my time, my blog posts may be sporadic, though I’ll try to write a little bit each day. Besides school, I work as a teacher’s assistant, so I have a lot of grading to do most weeks as well as preparing the odd lecture. I’m also participating in NaNo this year. NanO, for the uninitiated, is National (though its really international) Novel Writing Month. Through the month of November, expect a lot of blog posts about my novel. I really enjoy writing and would like to be a published author, as well as a history professor.

Some other interesting facts about me:

1. I’m a Christian.

2. I like lists.

3. I’m a girl.

4. I adore animals and want a hedgehog

5. I’m visually impaired.

6. I love the color green.

7. I want to move to Ireland some day.

8. Selkies are my favorite mythological creature.

9. I love Irish everything.

10. I can speak French.

I hope you enjoy your stay here. Feel free to comment with any questions or comments you might have.

Have a wonderful day!
